Arnica (genus Arnica) is an herb in the sunflower family that grows in western North America and the arctic regions of northern Eurasia. It has been used medicinally, and is rarely used as a culinary herb. It has a strong, bitter flavor, with an earthy odor, and is not usually used in isolation.
Bénédictine liqueur contains arnica as one of its flavoring ingredients.
