Byadagi chilli, or bedgi chilli, is a variety of chilli mainly grown in the Indian state of Karnataka, named after the town of Byadgi. It has a deep red color and moderate spieciness.
Byadagi chillies come in two types, called dabbi and kaddi. Byadagi dabbi is smaller and plumper, with less heat than the kaddi variety. Byadagi kaddi is thin, long, and twistier, with fewer seeds.
