Maiz Morado is a Peruvian variety of corn with purple kernels. It is used in Peru to make chicha morada , a sweet drink made by boiling the corn with cloves, pineapple rind, and cinnamon. It is also used as feedstock for corn beer, mazamorra pudding, and lemiña pudding.
