The Mentira (Spanish, "lie") is a Spanish cocktail, made with shaved ice, lemonade, and café licor; in some areas, the lemonade is flavored with cinnamon and burnt sugar, making it dark.
The drink is called a "lie" because it was originally intended to conceal the alcohol in the cup; by combining it with iced lemonade it was not obvious that liqueur was included.
Note that café licor does not contain added sugar; if other liqueurs are used, the sweetness of the lemonade should be reduced.
