Nectar, in a culinary context, refers to sweet, thick liquid made with fruit juice and blended fruit pulp. The term also refers to the sugar-rich liquid produced by plants and harvested by bees.
The term nectar is also used by some brewers to refer to a honey-forward mead product, and in some areas nectar may be a synonym for fruit juice.
