A perfect martini is a martini cocktail that uses a equal amounts of sweet vermouth and dry vermouth, maintaining the ratio of spirit to vermouth as in a normal martini.
The term "perfect cocktail" was used historically to refer to the perfect martini, but "perfect" is now used to describe any cocktail with an equal amount of sweet and dry vermouth (as in for example, the perfect Manhattan).
