Prawn thokku is a spicy, tangy South Indian seafood dish from the Tamil Nadu region. It is made with prawns cooked in oil or ghee with a thick, onion- and tamarind-heavy masala base. The dish is cooked until semi-dry, unlike Iraal masala, and is usually served with rice or flatbreads.
