A sweet bread is a bread product that has been sweetened through the addition of sugar, honey, molasses, or syrup. They may be quick breads or leavened breads. Note that a sweet bread is not to be confused with sweetbread, which is an English culinary term for the adrenal and thymus glands of an animal!
